Are you a seasoned AP economics instructor, new to teaching the courses, or simply contemplating teaching them? If so, join us as Federal Reserve economists, AP economics exam readers and instructors, and St. Louis Fed economic education staff present a program packed with the information you need to be successful.
All teachers also are invited to a June 13 pre-conference session on the relationship between the study of economics and improved SAT scores. New teachers or those who are exploring the possibility of teaching AP economics are welcome to attend a pre-conference workshop and dinner that evening that will include information on the basics, such as designing the syllabus and choosing a textbook. Experienced teachers will be on hand to offer strategies for a successful launch.
This conference will feature:
• 18 hours of professional development;
• certificates of completion; and
• continental breakfasts, lunches, and an evening reception on Wednesday, June 14.
There is no fee, but you must register by June 8, 2017. Parking is complimentary.
