For 4-12 Grade Teachers

The Economics of Wealth Building:

In this seminar teachers will investigate the mathematical tools and economic principles important for building wealth. Teachers will learn about the concepts important for students to understand risk, diversification, and rates of return. Part of the class will be a review of the new proposed Colorado Content Standards in Financial Literacy. Finally, teachers will learn how the Stock Market Game can increase student understanding of economics and math. Teachers will view a demonstration of this exciting online classroom simulation.

  • Date: September 5, 2009 (register by: August 26)

  • Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

  • Location: University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Campus

  • Class Fee: $40 (payable to CCEE with registration)

  • Optional Credit Fee: ½ CU grad. sem. credit hours, $25. Payable to CU online. Full day attendance is required to receive credit.

  • Faculty:
