Over the past 30 years, China has grown at historically unprecedented rates.
This seminar explores the changing incentives that motivated this growth and the
problems that have arisen with its transformation from economic laggard to
economic leader. Key issues to be explored are the sources of Chinese growth,
implications of Chinese growth for the US economy, sustainability of Chinese
pro-growth policies, and implications for the global economy of slowing Chinese
growth.
