For K-12 Grade Teachers

Methods for Teaching Financial Literacy

Financial literacy is here and will be implemented in the 2011-12 school year. Will you and your school be ready? Learn the fundamentals of financial literacy: the impact of education on income, wise budget choices, saving and investing, wise use of credit, and understanding the impact of taxes on income and spending. Teachers will be guided in the selection and use of grade-appropriate lessons and activities by CCEE Master Teachers. Math teachers will receive MATH credit and materials appropriate for their classrooms. Join us in exploring the exciting new “Financial Literacy Expectations” and how they will improve the lives and futures of your students. This is practical knowledge that motivates student learning and engagement.
