Methods for Teaching Economics (ECON 604):

Featuring NCEEs Virtual Economics Software

This course is a foundation class for secondary teachers interested in improving their knowledge and skills in teaching economics. Teachers learn how to apply economic concepts in an integrated curriculum with literacy, math, and social studies. All lesson plans are correlated to the Colorado Model Standards in Economics. The class is ideal for teachers who are looking for exciting new classroom ideas to stimulate student learning.

  • Date: July 13-17, 2009 (register by: July 3)

  • Time: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

  • Location: Penrose House, 10 Lake Circle, Colorado Springs

  • Class Fee: $125 (payable to CCEE with registration)

  • Optional Credit Fee: 3 CU grad. sem. credit hours, $150. Payable to CU online. Full day attendance is required to receive credit.
